A perfect example of what this is, is the same thing regarding Metal Gear Solid 4 and the Xbox 360...

[QUOTE=Exoudeous]heres an idea: dont play it. why would it scare you? if the controlls suck, stick to the pc. would it really be that bad if more players started playing the game?

I would hate to enter an elite mission and discover than the monk is playing on a console and can't heal for ****. If GW2 comes out on consoles, they will have to dumb down the controls on PC so that we don't have a MASSIVE advantage.

Not really considering how every console mmo thus far has never done that and it still works, and not to mention ps3 has mouse and keyboard support.

I think that guild wars 1 would really work well on console, think about it.. after gwen is out, and updates have stopped, they could release a pve only version consisting of all 3 chapters and the parts of gwen that doesnt relate to gw2. They would not have to worry about updates, they could mess around with the controls if needed and lose almost no functionality. They wouldnt have to worry about skill balancing because of no pvp and the economy would not exist so drop rates or price changing etc.

What you could do is introduce a whole lot of npc's to impersonate other players so that you can still trade weapons etc.

And most of all, as its seperate from the guildwars we know with servers et al, the online community would not be effected.

NCSoft is working with PS3. Go read the news. Not sure if GW will be the game to reach console first though.

with all the keys you must hit to interact with this game i don't see how that can be put on a console - unless you plug in a usb keyboard (does PS3 support that?)

a PS3 does support any bluetooth and USB keyboard and mouse (infrared included). In fact Unreal Tournament 3 on the Ps3 supports playing with keyboard and mouse. So this shouldn't be an issue.

Why buy a console game if youre going to play it on the keyboard+mouse though?

Most people have the PS3 in the first place for other reasons. So if GW were to come out on PS3 they would then buy the keyboard+mouse. Most people wouldnt buy everything for just one game. Unless i'm mistaken heh. And besides i'm pretty sure a comp that supports GW to the extent that a PS3 would, would probably be more expensive, not a technical genius though.

Well I think a GW game on ps3 would be nice, I think the real question here should be:

Should console players be able to interact with PC players, and the other way around? or should these games be kept seperate?
